DigPAL - Digital Tuning Display

DigPAL is a digital image transfer program by VK4AES. It is under developement and still being tested. The program is designed to run on Windows XP.

DigPAL requires careful adjustment of the input level for successful reception.

This is how the Tuning Display should appear with an incoming signal:

[Tuning Display ]

The Tuning Display reveals the sequence of the signals received.

1) A start/synchronization tone is received showing three spokes.
2) The three spokes become aligned to form a "T" and "Capture" begins.
3) The three spokes become four during the transmission of the picture data and form a small cross or plus sign.
4) A single spoke appears in the lower sector when the stop tone is received.

The length of the spokes reveals the amplitude of the received signal.

If your display is much different in signal amplitude, some adjustment of the input level may be necessary for a more reliable reception. One way is by bringing up the Windows "Recording Control" and moving the slider for the selected input source.
