Create a waterfall ID for WinDRM
Here is how you create a waterfall ID for WinDRM.
1. Start by creating a waterfall ID in DIGTRX. Click Setup/Call/Enter CALL.
2. Using Windows Explore, select the DIGTRX folder. The location of the DIGTRX folder can be found by right clicking the DIGTRX icon, left click Properties, left click the "Find Target" button. Click the "Folders" icon at the top of the screen. Locate the file, "digzbzid.wav". Right click this file, left click "Copy".
3. Using Windows Explore, select the WinDRM folder. The location of the WinDRM folder can be found by right clicking the WinDRM icon, left click Properties, left click the "Find Target" button. Click the "Folders" icon at the top of the screen. The highlighted folder is the one used by WinDRM. Right click this folder, left click "Paste".
4. The WinDRM version released in 2006 requires the wave file to be converted to a 48K sample rate: Look inside the WinDRM folder for the file "digzbzid.wav". Right click this file, left click "Record". In the "Sound Recorder", click "File" and "Save As...". Click "Change", Select "48.000 kHz, 16 Bit, Mono" from the Attributes list. Click "OK", click "Save". Allow it to overwrite.
5. Look inside the WinDRM folder for the file "digzbzid.wav". Right click this file, left click "Rename". Type in "id.wav" (or just "id" if no extension is given) and hit "Enter".
5. To send your waterfall ID from WinDRM, left click the ID button.
