HamPal Download & Setup
HamPal is the work of VK4AES Erik from Australia. Erik started developement on this DRM digital SSTV program in April of 2005. It makes use of Cesco's program, hamdrm.dll (HB9TLK). Updates to HamPAL ended with ver. 09JAN06.
HamPal - for screens with at least 800x600 resolution:
HamPAL ver. 17MAY05 has been replaced with the final ver. 17MAY05. This version does NOT expire. The "hamdrm.dll" file is included in this version. The viewing screen is 508 by 380 pixels.

HamPal - for screens with at least 1024x768 resolution:
HamPAL ver. 01JAN06 and 09JAN06 operate in a window that is 1024 pixels wide.

HamPal - Setup
Using Windows Explore, create a new folder, "HamPal".
Unzip the HamPal zip file, copy the files to the new (or existing) "HamPal" folder. If you already have an "announcestart.wav", or "repeater.wav", copy them to this same folder.
If your Screen resolution is not at least 1024x768, set it to this resolution under Display Properties.
Make an icon on the desktop for HamPAL. Double click this icon to run HamPAL.
Make the following changes in "Setup":
Enter callsign - a valid call is required to be allowed to transmit.
Set the PTT port.
Check AutoSave.
Check Time/Callsign Stamp.
Set IrfanView directory - Generally C:\Program Files\IrfanView\
Check "Unattended operation"
Check the following in "TxMode":
DEFAULT - This will set to: Mode B, Bandwidth 2.5 KHz, MSC Norm error correction, and QAM 16
Short Interleave
Short Sync Leader - This will save time on each transmission.
At the bottom of the screen, click "Progressive RX"
Close to save your settings.
