DIGTRX & RDFT

DIGTRX is the work of Roland Zurmely PY4ZBZ from Brazil. To function as a Digital SSTV program, it requires the RDFT (Win32 Console Application) programs provided by Barry Sanderson KB9VAK. Bob Poortinga K9SQL has re-worked Barry's code and has four replacement files that will provide faster decoding and encoding. Other improvements are documented in the source code. Just download "rdft203.zip". Unzip, then move the files extracted to the DIGTRX folder. See the file readme2.txt for additional information.

RDFT 2.03 Setup in DIGTRX

DIGTRX version 1.48 already has the new RDFT 2.03 files included. DIGTRX version 1.47 allows the use of either one of two decoders. To allow the use of the new RDFT 2.03, with DIGHTRX version 1.47, you should click on "Setup", "Options", and UNSELECT "Fast decode". (Both decoders use Cygwin.)

RDFT 2.03 files compiled under CYGWIN

DIGTRX decoding is performed by the Win32 Console Application program WAV2BIN.EXE. The replacement files were compiled using a Cygwin "C" compiler for Windows by Bob, K9SQL. The file "cygwin1.dll" (included) is required to run the RDFT 2.03 files.

This decoder has some minor fixes and enhancements. It is able to decode a transmission that sends a single block. Decoding is aborted early (saving time) after six bad blocks are encountered during decode. Frequency drift beyond seven Hertz is tolerated.
